NIGHT FLOWER
Night flower
immaculate, fragrant
blooming into darkness.
Ignorant of day light
and its hues.
Ignorant of birds
and those musics,
Listens to the symphony of crickets
in mute agony.
Knows not how flowers are
adored in daylight,
Nightflower wearied withers
into the day.
And may be some sympathetic
hearts may say
"Wish it bloomed in the day!"
